A Course in Miracles (ACIM)
How can I describe ACIM?!? The book itself (which consists of 3 volumes: the text, the workbook and the manual for teachers) can look overwhelming and my goal today is to reassure you that there is no need to be overwhelmed. After several years of devoted study, I have done the workbook (365 lessons designed to correct our faulty thinking and realign us with the thinking of God), I have read the Manual for Teachers which is quite brief, and I have read about half of the text which is rich, rich, rich and I can only eat it in small bites. There are a few versions of ACIM which I will link here, but I study the Foundation for Inner Peace version. Choose whichever resonates for you.
There is a cornucopia of shorter, easy to read books that are excellent reviews of and introductions to ACIM. I will offer a few for your consideration today.
I also enjoyed Holy Shift! 365 Daily Meditations from A Course in Miracles by Robert Holden, Living A Course in Miracles: An Essential Guide to the Classic Text by Jon Mundy and A Course in Miracles Made Easy: Mastering the Journey from Fear to Love by Alan Cohen.
Finally, Gary Renard has written a series of his own channeled books which address ACIM starting with Disappearance of the Universe.
There will be additional blog posts regarding the contents of the books I am linking here. I look forward to hearing your impressions. Happy reading!
